First off I want to thank God for putting me in the position I am today. I also want to thank my parents for guiding me in the right direction. My journey to becoming apart of the world's greatest Air Force was a tough one but one of the best decisions of my life. Coming out of high school I wanted to play ball. Coach Cook (Uncle) and Mr Maxtion (Uncle) really helped me with getting me prepared to go play. After a couple months no offers, I looked to go in the Air Force. I put the plan into action and got in the position I needed to be. I want to thank the best coaches/trainers Coach Cook and Mr Maxtion for being mentors I needed to get where I am today. I also want to thank everybody that supported me and my decision.

My name is Derrick Maxtion and I am the co founder of NOW Training, with about 12 plus years in this area of hands on experience.
I first gained an interest in the fitness world by giving back to my community through volunteer group training. In these sessions, I was able to introduce the youth to more physical techniques to compliment them in their prospective sports. This interest quickly developed into a passion in which the groups became larger and with increased numbers, led to smaller groups to one on one to eventually private sessions.
Using NOW Training in-depth exercises help promote a significant amount of muscle growth but most importantly healthier living. Evaluations are done regularly to provide individual clients with their personal goal tracker.
One of my greatest joys is to see the youth develop a healthy lifestyle along with exceeding expectations while breaking down barriers to reach personal goals on and off the field.
David Smart

David Smartt is an native of Huntsville Alabama. He attended Butler High School and is now working within the medical field. David has passionately served the Huntsville and Madison community has a high school and AAU basketball coach for over 20 years. He is also, the owner of Play Smartt Sports Academy.
Antonio Cook
Founder/Executive Director
Antonio Cook, is a native of Selma, Alabama. He graduated from Jefferson Davis Sr High school (Montgomery, AL) and also from Tennessee State University (Nashville, TN). Over his career he has worked with a number of athletes from youth to professional to obtain their dreams in sports. Antonio also has trained, hosted, and assisted students in finding families from other countries as far as Lithuania. His passion is his family, training the youth for leadership, and providing quality services to each consumer.
